South London Honey

Product Details

This local honey, from Annie’s Apiaries, is from Annie’s hives in Underhill Road, East Dulwich. It contains nectar and pollen from the trees in the area, lime, horse chestnut and the flowers in the gardens. Simply delicious on toast or for whatever your preferred use of honey is.

There will be traces of the pollen from the trees and flowers in the honey. The honey is extracted manually, no heating or cooling. Nothing is added. It is dripped filtered through a mesh sieve into a honey bucket where it sits for a week or so while air bubbles rise out and is then put into jars. Jars can be returned to us for reuse and refilling.

Annie is on the committee of the London Beekeepers Association (LBKA). She is passionate about sustainable bee keeping and her bees are not farmed. The bees are always free to leave as wild insects. Plenty of honey is left for the bees to feed on during the winter and they are never fed sugar. Find out more about her honey and beliefs around beekeeping on our website. To learn more about the LBKA’s sustainable bee keeping please visit www.lbka.org.uk
