Brixton Pound Cafe & Naked Larder Waste Less Supper Club

Saturday 28th September 2019
7.30pm - 10.30pm

South London Botanical Institute, 323 Norwood Road,
London, SE24 9AQ
Brixton Pound Cafe and Naked Larder are thrilled to be collaborating to host a supper club as part of Urban Food Fortnight. We’ll be showcasing the use of surplus food, destined for landfill, to highlight the issue of needless food waste, combined with other produce from Naked Larder to highlight our packaging waste problem and show the changes that can be made to shopping habits for the benefit of our environment.
Our pay-what-you-can supper club, using surplus food sourced from City Harvest and packaging free food from Naked Larder, will be for everyone regardless of situation. The menu will be a surprise, even to our cook, Tamara Gillon, as it will depend on the raw ingredients received that week. Tamara is an experienced cook who has been volunteering for Brixton Pound for the past year and is a genius at creating a feast from surplus food where notice of ingredients is often last minute and random! Expect a three course vegetarian feast plus a welcome botanical cocktail prepared by our fabulous venue, the South London Botanical Institute.
Priced on a pay-what-you-can basis with a suggested price of £35 per person (£32 for London Food Link members).

Bring your own alcohol.

Space is limited so early booking is advised.
